Bruce Lea is Senior Business Development Manager for Gilbane Building Company. His involvement in the A/E/C industry, as well as SMPS dates back to 1975. He led the marketing and business development programs for several major architectural firms prior to joining Gilbane in 1996 as Director of Corporate Marketing. He relocated to Gilbane's Atlanta office in 2001. Bruce was first elected to the SMPS National Board in 1977. He served on the SMPS Philadelphia Chapter Board in the early 1980's as co-chair of the program committee and later co-chair of the membership committee. He was elected national President-Elect in 1985 and served as national President in 1986-87. He has spoken or lead panels for more than two dozen SMPS chapters, SMPS National Conferences and related organizations such as the AGC and ACEC. Bruce also has been published frequently in the Marketer, most recently as author of the cover story on Gena Abraham when she led the GSFIC and the Georgia Building Authority.
