Joan Creviston
Executive Advisory Panel

Joan Creviston

Joan Creviston has been in the A/E/C industry since 1989.  She joined CGLS Architects, Inc. in October, 2004 as the Director of Business Development. She believes that her long-standing membership with SMPS has contributed to her success by developing valuable networking and business development skills. Her previous business development positions were with geotechnical engineering firms.  During the fifteen years prior to her joining CGLS, Joan established her network in the higher education, commercial, government, industrial and retail market sectors while befriending a large number of architects, engineers, contractors and developers in the Southeast.

Joan co-chaired the SMPS Atlanta Education Committee for two years (1999-2001), raising the standards for Educational Programs by bringing in high-profile guest speakers.  Her programs included speakers from Hartsfield International Airport, City of Atlanta, GSA, University Facility Managers and Metro Atlanta Economic Developers.  Because of the success of her outstanding programs and the popularity of the guest speakers, she not only increased awareness for SMPS in the A/E/C industry, but also increased our chapter’s membership. During her years on the Education Committee our chapter received awards and recognition during the each National SMPS Conference. As a newly added member of the Executive Advisory Panel, Joan looks forward to brainstorming with the committee on ideas for programs and education, as well as increasing membership and mentoring newer members.
