Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a computerized 3-D or 4-D model that stores all project information, such as specifications, drawings, schedules and other documents, to create a virtual project from this continuously updated information.  BIM is fast becoming a requirement and necessity on many projects.  Clients such as the General Services Administration, Higher Education Institutions and private entities have embraced the technology and are seeking the benefits that this technology has to offer.  There is no longer a debate about whether or not to use BIM, but instead how to best make it work.

With the groundbreaking of the Emory Psychology Building in September of 2007, Emory University, Holder Construction, HOK and KSi Engineering embarked on a Building Information Modeling journey.  Implementing BIM on this project allowed the team to show department heads each classroom, office and laboratory and allowed the end-users to make real-time changes without compromising budget, schedule or quality.

Don’t miss this exciting program!  Join our panel of experts as they discuss their experience with BIM on the Emory University Psychology Building project.  They will share their challenges and triumphs with this new technology and will provide some advice and guidance for those planning on implementing it on their next project.

As a follow-up to our BIM 101 program last year, this event is surely to sell out quick so register now!!
