SUMMARY OF POSITION (general responsibility and purpose):
Provides administrative support for all marketing activities. Works under the supervision of the Branch Manager(s). Plans and executes marketing activities requiring independent judgment and selection, and adaptation of standard techniques. Is able to develop new approaches to problems. Does not make commitments for firm. Outside contacts limited to professional peers and non-client or may extend to staff levels of client organizations.
KNOWLEDGE:
Two years of work experience in A/E Marketing. A basic knowledge of the Engineering/Architectural industry is helpful but not required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications; Deltek’s Vision knowledge a plus. Detail-oriented and highly organized, works well with all types of people under deadline situations, assumes responsibility for assigned tasks when given appropriate direction.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Assume lead, and provide support for the word processing of all proposals, SOQs, introductory packages, interview presentations, and general correspondence as directed by the Branch Manager(s) and/or Proposal Manager.
- Assembly of all marketing materials including binding, copying, and filing.
- Responsible for all updates/maintenance of Vision, including, but not limited to, Team Member resumes, project photo write-ups and client data.
- Perform market research as requested in accordance with Strategic Planning initiatives and/or Business Development goals for the Branch.
- Review major websites for RFPs and directs leads to appropriate Team Leader for review.
- Create systems for follow-up to prevent RFP requests from going unanswered.
- Establish relationships with Communications & Marketing Director to coordinate public relations activities such as new project, promotions and new hire press releases.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Assist with trade show preparation and attendance when needed.
- Assist in “Red Teaming” proposals and reports.
- Responsible for training and supervision of Marketing Assistant(s).
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
GUIDANCE/RESPONSIBILITY:
Able to work independently, seeking guidance and direction periodically when required.
SUPERVISORY:
May supervise support staff on individual project assignments.
