Marketing Manager
Barton Malow has been in business over 84 years providing construction management, design build, general contracting and program management services.
Founded in 1986, the Georgia office has delivered noteworthy projects to clients such as Turner Sports & Entertainment, Delta Airlines, Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia. The office is responsible for building relationships and servicing customers throughout the Southeast region. Focus in the region includes higher/public education, cultural/institutional and sports facility projects.
Role Objective:
Plan and execute high quality marketing materials, and express and maintain a consistent high-quality image in promotional material and publicity that enhances morale and the competitive posture of Barton Malow Company in the Southern Region – Georgia market. Carry out the execution and maintenance of proposal and presentation material within the framework of the marketing plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
Proposal Management – Manage Southern Region - Georgia proposal and presentation assignments; Produce qualifications, proposals and presentations; Maintain the Southern Region - Georgia proposal database.
- Public Relations and Project Branding – Assist with project branding as opportunities arise; Work with Chief Development Director to develop Georgia office branding and public relations plans; Assist with implementation of branding and public relations plans.
- Website direction – Create communication goals for internal and external Georgia Website pages.
- Articles for corporate newsletters – For client newsletter: researches/writes assigned articles; assists other authors with article preparation. For employee newsletter: researches/writes articles.
- Promotional brochures/direct mail campaigns – Under direction of Corporate Marketing Director writs/edit Georgia regional marketing materials and develop ad campaigns.
- Award submissions – Research and write award submittals.
- Trade journal article writing – Under direction of Chief Development Director, explore opportunities for publication in industry magazines; write text and materials for articles.
- Market research/writing assistance – Provide research/writing assistance to staff throughout BMC, including ghost writing for operations personnel and document editing.
- Organize and maintain marketing files – Keep applicable ISO forms on file; Maintain electronic archive of proposals and presentations.
- Deltek entry – Assist Business Development team with updates to Deltek CRM system for Clients, Contacts and Opportunities.
- Management responsibilities for marketing coordinator(s) – Manage day-to-day activities and proposal workload for marketing coordinator(s).
- Conference Management – With Business Development Director, provide direction for Southern Region – Georgia conferences and events coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- Six-ten years proposal/presentation experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Minimum of five years public relations experience.
- Understanding of construction terminology and delivery methods.
- Award entry writing experience.
- Working knowledge of word processing and desktop publishing programs, including Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.
